The 2023 edition of Bungie Day Giving Festival came to a close at the stroke of midnight on July 23rd raising $1,008,722 dollars during the two plus week campaign. The Bungie community showed its true heart and generosity during this year's campaign, exceeding the original $777,777 fundraising goal in just 10 days and continuing to push for a new milestone.

The campaign was a huge success overall, highlighted by some very emotional and impactful moments including:

  • The first ever community emblem contest, with one lucky winner's design being chosen to appear in Destiny 2 at a later date as part of a future charity campaign.

  • Sharing Make-A-Wish kid Wyatt's emotional story and visit to Bungie HQ to meet with the dev teams of his favorite game.

  • Updates from Dr. Ted Kim and his team at Yale working on the Bungie Foundation funded research project to develop new technology for representing Type-4 hair in games.

  • Heaps of prizes and memorabilia to for donors to win

  • Special heartfelt thank you messages from Destiny voice actors and other celebs including: Nolan North, Danny Trejo, Erika Ishii, Todd Haberkorn, Mara Junot, Fred Tatasciore, and Wil Wheaton.
