The Men in Kilts competition is celebrating its fifth year. To date, this competition has brought in over $200,000 to support families in need of a warm and friendly place to rest while receiving treatment at Seattle Children’s Hospital. The House’s goal this year is to raise another $80k. Together, the Bungie community can win first place through our combined generosity. We’ll be competing against companies such as Penny Arcade, the Seattle Sounders, and Alaska Airlines. Cast your vote for Team Bungie by donating $10 or more. Every $30 donated will pay for a family to stay at the House for one night.

The Gauntlet Tabletop Tournament, hosted by Engage, the philanthropic arm of Mox Boarding Houses, will be supporting YouthCare this year. Help us raise money to provide shelter, safety, and stability to Seattle’s homeless young adults. Last year, the Bungie community alone raised over $53,000 for this event. Let’s surpass that amount this year. Twenty teams from the gaming industry and community will wrap this fundraiser up by competing head to head in a day-long series of tabletop games to win glory and victoriously hoist the Gauntlet. Your donations will help our team obtain Power Ups that will give them a competitive edge against the likes of Monolith, PopCap, and Valve – to name a few.

Making the world a better place is its own reward, but to help sweeten the pot, we’ve created a few backer rewards for donating to either of these two causes:
- $50 – Winding Path in-game Emblem for Destiny
- $100 – The prize above, plus a hilarious digital caricature, drawn by one of our own “Programmer Artists”
- $250 – All prizes above, plus play Destiny with one of Bungie’s devs
- $500 – All prizes above, plus a digital caricature drawn by one of our own Destiny Artists!
We will be reaching out to all donors following the conclusion of the Gauntlet Tournament fundraiser. Please expect an email from us the week of May 16th. You must provide a valid email address when you donate in order to receive these rewards.
We’d also like to introduce you to the Bungie League of Athletes and Marathoners. The Bungie Foundation has a new team that is dedicated to raising funds for local and national charity organizations through the power of fitness.
Each month, the Bungie League of Athletes and Marathoners – BLAM for short – will participate in a fitness event dedicated to raising money for a charity. This Sunday, we’ll be participating in the Run MS: Seattle 5K, which will raise funds for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
MS is an unpredictable, often disabling disease that affects the central nervous system and disrupts the flow of information within the brain, as well as between the brain and the body. Because it affects each person differently, it is very difficult to find a cure. However, new treatments are being developed, and with the help of the community, we can get one step closer to solving the mysteries of MS and finding a cure.
If you are in the general Seattle area, please consider participating this weekend! If you or a loved one has been affected by MS, but you aren’t able to attend this event, please consider donating to our team!
